While the young professionals from the University of Twente had to set their alarms early at the start of the year, this time it was the young professionals from VU Amsterdam who had an early start. At the end of October, both groups met in Enschede as a follow-up to a previous gathering in Amsterdam.

The young professionals work in various roles across VU Amsterdam and the University of Twente and follow a similar training program. The day in Enschede provided plenty of opportunities for in-depth knowledge exchange, including presentations, roundtable sessions with colleagues in similar projects and discussions on topics such as professional development and work ethics. What are the similarities and differences in their roles, and what can they learn from each other?

A visit to the University of Twente wouldn’t be complete without a campus tour. After the knowledge-sharing sessions, it was time to stretch their legs and explore some of the campus highlights with a guide. It was a great way to conclude an engaging and educational day – one that participants agreed is highly recommended for exchanging knowledge with colleagues from other universities.
