Since September 2023, the Demonstrator Lab (DLab) at the VU is also available to students from Mechanical Engineering and Creative Technology. In the lab students work on practical assignments with guidance from a VU engineer. The DLab is now in full use by the students. One example is a soldering workshop for CreaTe students, where they soldered a Christmas tree with LED lights. The VU-UT steering committee alliance is funding a trial of the DLab this autumn. If it proves a success after the review, the possibility of making it a permanent facility at the VU will be explored.
