DemonstratorLab VU Amsterdam open for VU students

From this academic year on, Mechanical Engineering (ME) and Creative Technology (CreaTe) students at the VU can use the Amsterdam DemonstratorLab.

This 'incubator' has a wide range of technical facilities and enables enterprising students and staff to work out ideas, make prototypes and receive guidance to bring products to market. CreaTe students can prepare projects in the DemonstratorLab, which they later continue working on in mixed groups with UT students in Enschede. CreaTe programme director Alma Schaafstal is pleased that students have free access to technical facilities, allowing them to experiment on their own and gain technical skills from the outset.

For ME students, the DemonstratorLab means they no longer have to travel to Enschede for simple operations such as 3D printing or working with small plastic parts.
