Diversity bias in cybersecurity training materials
This project aims to examine the extent of diversity bias in cybersecurity training materials. Training employees is key to enhancing an organisation’s cybersecurity, and it seems that the most effective training is delivered by people. The project brings together expertise from both VU Amsterdam and the UT: VU Amsterdam focuses on the technical and computer science aspects of risk management, while the UT explores the social and psychological dimensions. Data collection for the project has been completed, and the data is currently being analysed. The researchers are in the process of preparing the results for submission to two scientific papers, which will be presented at the Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems and Communications of ACM. The next phase of the research will continue to investigate diversity bias in this field.
