Whereas the Young Professionals from the UT had to set their alarm clock early at the beginning of this year, this time it was the turn of the Young Professionals from VU Amsterdam to hit the road in the early morning. On 27 October, both groups met in Enschede as a follow-up to an earlier meeting in Amsterdam.
The Young Professionals are employed at various places within VU Amsterdam and the UT and follow a similar training programme. The day in Enschede therefore offered plenty of space for substantive knowledge exchange. This took the form of presentations, round table sessions with colleagues in similar projects and discussions around topics such as professional development and work ethics. What are the similarities and differences in the work and how can we learn from each other?
Of course, a visit to the UT is not complete without a campus tour. After the knowledge-sharing programme, it was time to stretch one's legs and visit some key highlights of the campus on a guided tour. The conclusion of a fun and informative day and, according to the participants, definitely a recommended way to exchange knowledge with colleagues from other universities.
